A Studio Taken Over With a Vision, and the Social Strategy That Made Lugano Notice

About California Yoga International

California Yoga International is a yoga studio based in Lugano, Switzerland, led by Naima. The studio offers a full range of yoga classes and wellness experiences designed to create something rarer than a good class: a genuine community. Notably, CYI is the only studio in Lugano offering Aerial Yoga. Naima and her business partner took over the studio mid-2025 with a clear intention: to make it feel less like a fitness facility and more like a home, a place people return to not just for the practice but for the people.

The problem CYI came to solve

When Naima came to Green Socials, the studio had a lot to say and not enough consistent presence to say it. The core challenges were threefold: irregular posting frequency meant the account felt dormant between bursts of activity; the branding lacked the cohesion needed to signal the quality and warmth of the in-studio experience online; and lead generation from social was underperforming relative to the real-life energy the studio was already generating.

The goal wasn't just more followers, but rather to build a digital presence that felt as welcoming as walking through the studio door, one that consistently reminded the community the studio existed, gave potential new students a real sense of what they'd be joining, and converted that interest into bookings.

Why we wanted to work with CYI

Naima came to us with something most studio owners don't have: genuine entrepreneurial instinct on top of deep expertise in her craft. She and her partner hadn't been running the studio for years (they'd taken it over just months before our partnership began) and they were already all-in on building real community, not just a class schedule. IRL events, workshops, experiences. That instinct is rare and it matters, because the studios that build the most loyal communities are the ones that understand digital presence only works when it's connected to something tangible and physical.

The collaboration focused on establishing the foundations first: consistent posting cadence, coherent visual branding, and content that balanced class promotion with the warmth and personality of the studio. The shift from sporadic to structured was immediate in the numbers.

Within the first months of working together, the account went from effectively dormant to a consistent, recognisable presence in Lugano's wellness community. Content pillars were built around class culture, instructor personality, community moments, and the kind of relatable, body-aware content that resonates with people who already practice and the ones who've been meaning to start.
